Red Stretch Marks

Stretch marks, or striae develop when the skin is excessively stretched. This may happen during pregnancy, weight gain, growth spurts and some medications, including hormones and steroids. Stretch marks occur in the dermis, the elastic middle layer of skin that allows it to retain its shape. However, when constantly stretched, the dermis can break down leaving behind marks.

Men and women can get stretch marks on several areas of their bodies, including the abdominal area, thighs, hips, flank, breasts, upper arms or lower back.

What is the treatment for Red Stretch Marks?

Fraxel treatment  using our Fraxel Re:Store dual laser is the most effective treatment for stretch marks available today. Using Fraxel re:store dual, we can stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis while resurfacing about 20% of your skin’s surface with each treatment.
