HydraFacial (Level 1)

We know that variations in skin texture, hydration and surface build-up are a natural part of life. We also understand that some people may wish to discuss options that address the appearance or feel of these changes.

Our clinic can provide consultations about the HydraFacial treatments. During consultation, a practitioner will assess your concerns, review your medical history and discuss whether this cosmetic procedure or another option may be appropriate.

The HydraFacial Level 1 is a non-invasive cosmetic facial performed in a clinical setting.

Any change in appearance or skin feel varies between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

What may be discussed in consultation

For suitable individuals, consultation may address concerns relating to:

  • the appearance of surface build-up or congestion

  • the appearance of skin texture variations

  • the appearance or feel of skin hydration

These concerns are assessed during consultation to determine whether a HydraFacial, another cosmetic procedure, or no procedure may be appropriate.

This cosmetic procedure is not used to diagnose or treat medical skin conditions.

How treatment planning works

During consultation, your practitioner will:

  • review your medical history, medications and relevant skin history

  • examine the treatment area and skin characteristics

  • discuss your concerns and expectations

  • explain the possible procedure, its limitations and alternative options, including choosing not to proceed

During the procedure, your practitioner may perform a sequence that can include:

  • cleansing of the skin surface

  • exfoliation selected according to your skin type and tolerance

  • application of serums using a device that combines fluid delivery with suction at the skin surface

Products and device settings are selected according to your skin type, tolerance and any other treatments you may be having. In some cases, your practitioner may recommend a different approach or no procedure.

Safety, Risks and Aftercare

All cosmetic procedures carry risks and may not be suitable for everyone.

Before any procedure is performed, your practitioner will:

  • review your medical history, medications and relevant health information

  • examine the treatment area

  • explain the proposed procedure, limitations and alternatives, including choosing not to proceed

Risks associated with procedures may include:

  • redness or swelling

  • skin sensitivity or irritation
